Leisure Centre

We are open for Hotel Guests and Members. We are delighted to extend an invitation and a warm welcome to all our hotel guests here at the award winning Station House Leisure Centre. Enjoy complimentary use of our facilities, including swimming pool for all the family, Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi and Gym for adults. You may also want to treat yourself at our Renew Spa which offers a range of treatments in a relaxed environment.

Gym & Leisure Centre Opening Hours:

Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays – 7.00am – 9.00pm

Monday – Friday 7.00am – 9.00pm

We ask hotel guests to please sign in at the leisure Centre reception desk. Towels are available to guests staying in the hotel and in the apartments. Lockers in the changing rooms require a padlock. For good hygiene practice swimming hats must be worn in the pool and can be purchased at Leisure Centre reception. For the enjoyment of our adult guests the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gymnasium are available for persons over 16 years of age. Children under 16 years of age are permitted to use the pool up to 7.00pm after which it is reserved for adults.

For safety reasons children under 12 years of age are to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We recommend that children under 9 years of age should be accompanied in the main pool by an adult and should wear armbands which we provide free of charge. There are no inflatable aids allowed in the pool with the exception of armbands. Babies/toddlers should wear a swim nappy; we ask that you do not let your child swim in an ordinary nappy. For your convenience the playroom is open during the same hours as the Leisure Centre.

The Clifden Station House Leisure Centre is an award-winning facility after gaining the NQS award formerly known as the White Flag in 2024. The Station House Leisure Centre also achieved top 3 in the overall Best Hotel Leisure Centre category in these awards.

The National Quality Standard (previously known as the White Flag Award) is a Leisure Centre & Hotel Leisure award encompassing:

– Safety
– Hygiene
– Customer Engagement
– Human Resources

The National Quality Standard, is the most sought-after accolade in the leisure and fitness industry and is awarded to facilities that meet the operational standards for leisure and fitness facilities as set out in the scheme. The standard is designed to encourage continuous improvement within the sector and recognises facilities for their remarkable standards. The NQA is the only industry specific award for the leisure, health and fitness sector in Ireland.

Classes include: circuit training, aqua aerobics, over 40’s, kids fit, teens fit, and Introduction to Strength & Conditioning. We offer reduced rates for members, and guests of our Hotel & Apartments can pay-as-you go if they wish to drop in to a class during their stay.

Membership is available for 3, 6 and 12 month periods with a number of payments options. We offer personal training and a number of fitness classes throughout the year with our fully qualified team.
